Nurse Maude
The Institute works closely with Nurse Maude staff to support their research and development activities.
Wound Care Service:
We have developed and manage a research centre including a fully equipped office and patient treatment room in the Nurse Maude wound clinic. This service is engaged in research throughout the year.
Palliative Care Service:
A number of research activities are currently underway in this service, mainly centred around the development of evidence based treatment and care protocols.
District Nursing Service:
This service is involved in research activities related to workforce development and improvement of patient care outcomes.
Specialist Community Services:
We are supporting research and development activities in the areas of lymphoedema care, acute care in the home, exploring the role of Nurse Practitioners in the community and care of patients with diabetes.
